Information you provide

When you use the enquiry form, Gendraw collects the information you choose to provide, including your name, company, email address, telephone number if supplied, enquiry type and project description.

How the information is used

The information is used to review your enquiry, communicate with you and, where requested, take steps towards providing services. Gendraw does not use website enquiries for unrelated marketing.

Lawful basis

Depending on the nature of the enquiry, processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract or is based on Gendraw's legitimate interest in responding to genuine business enquiries and maintaining appropriate business records.

Storage, sharing and retention

Enquiries are transmitted through Gendraw's website hosting and email services and are accessible only to people who need them to respond or administer the service. Information is not sold. It is retained only for as long as reasonably required to handle the enquiry and any resulting business, contractual or legal requirements, then deleted when no longer needed.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to request access to, correction of or deletion of your information, to restrict or object to its use, or to request transfer of information you supplied. Use the website enquiry form to make a privacy request. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Cookies and analytics

Gendraw may use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and services visitors find useful. Analytics is disabled unless you select Accept analytics. If accepted, Google may process information such as page views, approximate location, device and browser information, and an anonymous browser identifier. Gendraw uses aggregated reports to improve the website and measure enquiries; it does not use this information to identify you personally or for unrelated advertising.

You can reject analytics when first asked or change your choice later through Cookie settings in the website footer. Essential storage used to remember your privacy choice does not require analytics consent.

Map and route calculation

The factory-scanning budget calculator uses OpenStreetMap map tiles and openrouteservice routing. When you open the map, OpenStreetMap receives standard connection information such as your IP address and the referring website. When you request an estimate, the selected map coordinates are sent by Gendraw's server to openrouteservice to calculate driving distance from Standish. Do not select a private or confidential location unless you are authorised to provide it for this purpose.

Local CAD analysis

The small-part metrology tool analyses a selected STEP file locally in your browser. During this initial analysis, the STEP file and its geometry are not uploaded to Gendraw's server. Only provide a CAD file that you are authorised to use.
